Lead Instructor: Frank. D UK SF
The lead instructor for this course, Frank, is an extremely experienced Operator and Instructor. A former UK Special Forces Member, Frank has over 15 years’ service in 22 Special Air Service (SAS) with more than 28 plus years’ service in the UK military.
The CRW (Counter Revolutionary Warfare) wing of 22 SAS developed its close protection role in the late 60s/early 70s, as part of its emerging counter terrorist remit. The SAS have guarded high-ranking British politicians, including Prime Ministers, members of the Royal Family and foreign VIPs. Many of the other UK Military units have, at some stage in their development, received advice and training from SAS instructors. Both 22 SAS, and the two reserves regiments, 21 and 23 SAS, are trained in close protection. These skills were in high demand by Britain’s allies in the Middle East, many of who requested SAS training for their own bodyguards. In today’s society, many executives are turning to security professionals with the skills taught in this course for protection. These concepts are essential for the executive protection industry.
